FAQs – Business funding

How long will it take you to decide on my loan?
This will depend on individual circumstances and the funder used but it can be as little as two hours up to a maximum of 72 hours.

What do you fund?
We will fund any bona fide business expenditure. This can be anything from your regular VAT payment to revenue for a new IT system.

What happens if I have poor credit or accounts?
We have a panel of 35 lenders from tier one lenders to sub-prime. There are several lenders which will tailor funding for those with reduced credit scores.

What information do I need to provide?
This depends on which funder we opt for but it can be as little as a set of business accounts.

How long can I have funding for?
It is usually up to five years for unsecured loans. However, for bigger facilities such as acquisitions it can be as much as 20 years.

Do you offer asset finance?
Yes, we offer HP and Lease for all types of asset funding. Whether it’s office equipment, plant machinery, medical equipment or industrial refurbishment, we can provide tailored funding to suit your needs.

Do you assist new start businesses?
Yes, we have a selection of funders which support new start businesses. We are happy to assist you at this important time in your start up.

Do I have to own my own home?
No, this is not always essential.

Can I refer business to V4B?
Yes, we have a Partner Programme in place for referrals such as accountants, equipment suppliers and IFAs. Visit the Partner Programme section on our website for more information.

Who would I deal with at V4B?
You would have a dedicated, experienced, consultant with an average of 10 years’ experience within business finance. All applications are strictly confidential and your account manager will maintain integrity throughout the process.
