Pete Hollingsworth, director of V4Bprofessions, said: ‘Nightingale House does a fantastic job within the local community providing palliative care and support to patients and families living in the area.

‘We ran the campaign for a couple of months over the summer and are delighted at the amount we managed to raise. We are sure the funds will be well used by the charity.’

Nightingale House, also based in Wrexham provides specialist palliative care services, free-of-charge, to patients and their families across an area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.

Luke McDonald, area fundraiser at Nightingale House said: ‘We are so grateful to V4B for this wonderful donation and for their efforts during the year to raise funds for us.

‘Every year we need to find around £2.8 million to run all the services and facilities the hospice offers to local people and their families affected by life-threatening or life-limiting illness so the support of businesses such as V4B makes a huge difference and is very much appreciated.’
